I married Leon for a whole 2 years not the best but at least I got 2 lovely children which mean everything to me.
My mom passed away in 1989 just after I had my son (Daniel) so I went down the hill a bit and slowly but surely became stronger as I then had Daniel and my sister (at that time 9) to take care of as we have no other parent.
I’ve had several operations that were not very successful to the fact that it has caused permanent damage due to medical negligence. But that’s a long story and I just try deal with it each day at a time.
My medication I had to take involved injecting 3 times a day which was a chemo based substance which wasn’t going down to well then I started deteriorating, the medication here in SA was costing me R25K a month so I went back to the UK with my kids (being British I got my medicine for free) My sister and her children live there but I was so unhappy as I love SA and to cut it short I returned with children back to SA 3 years ago.
I’ve been working in recruitment for 13 years and I really love it – it’s under my skin and I love helping people and making a difference in there lives. I have grown in the industry and made a name for myself which has led me to now starting my own agency. I’m nervous but life is about taking risks so here goes mine. It was so weird looking at all the pics you have on the blog of school WOW with the age of my kids I really feel old as I think I’m the one with the oldest kids (must be).
